The corridor on rue du Cardinal-Lemoine

The theatre's door opens onto rue du Cardinal-Lemoine, a short street between the Panthéon and the Seine. Dinner-and-show guests are called in from 7:30pm, well before curtain, leaving time to be seated and settled before the room fills.

Being shown to your table

Tables face the stage across the 720-seat room. The Napoléon offer comes with GOLD-category seats, and your seating is set by the ticket you book rather than by how early you arrive.

Dinner before the curtain

Dinner runs from 8pm: a starter, a main course and dessert on every menu, created by chef Guy Savoy, with wine and Champagne, all served before the 9:30pm curtain.

9:30pm: the curtain

L'Oiseau Paradis begins at 9:30pm and runs for around ninety minutes. Filming and photography stop once the lights go down — the room is asked to put phones away for the performance itself.

Inside L'Oiseau Paradis

About thirty performers move through some fifteen tableaux: dancers, singers, acrobats and comedians, in costumes by On Aura Tout Vu and sets by Alain Lagarde, built around a modern French Cancan staged for the show.

After the finale

The curtain falls at around 11:15pm. Show-only guests, called later at 9pm, leave the room at the same time as everyone who arrived for dinner — the whole evening runs on one shared clock.
